This Womxn’s Month we invite you to join us in an authentic and inspiring conversation about the challenges our society faces with regards to gender inequality and how we as a people can move toward gender equality by 2030, aligned with The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal.
Gender inequality challenges face all womxn, and in response to the United Nation’s call for “women and girls everywhere to have equal rights and opportunity, and be able to live free of violence and discrimination” - we will explore and unpack actionable responses to achieve a society where every womxn is:
- Able to feel safe when they act with intent
- Respected in the boardroom, at the braai and in every space she holds
- Free
- Prosperous, self-sufficient and equal leaders to men
- A Catalyst for Equality
The conversation will be led by Mosidi Modise who is not only a member of the World Economic Forum Young Global Shapers Community but also a renowned entrepreneur and activist for womxn’s rights.
Our invited panellists and past TEDxCapeTown speakers, who are forefront gender activists and thought leaders of gender equality, will speak to the theme and give us their insight on how we can achieve these goals by 2030. We invite you, our TEDx community, to ask questions and engage in this necessary and urgently needed conversation.
