Rosal Khoury is a former pharmaceutical research scientist turned business development manager. Having spent 10 years working abroad in the UK and Spain, she decided to return to Cape Town in 2014. She continued to support R&D project teams at UCT in optimising new treatments for malaria and TB. In 2015, she hung up her lab coat for good and shifted careers to sales & marketing, whilst studying business coaching and mentoring part-time. Outside of work, Rosal is an avid traveller and jazz singer.

What is TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCapeTown, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxCapeTown event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
