Milad Muhammadi

Milad is a 16-year-old student from Yazd, Iran. He is passionate about education and technology and has an impressive track record for instigating change in his community.

Last year he started a team called “Danack”, a group of students setting out with a mission to improve education - one step at a time.

The team hosted Iran’s first ever school-based TEDx event. They followed this up with a physics contest called “PhysicsMysics” in which more than 160 teams competed. The latest endeavors: A “ReadingBook” club and a TED-Ed Club… All entirely student driven.

Milad’s talk is a reminder to the youth of Cape Town of just what they’re capable of. He touches on the broken state of global education and asks probing questions about whose responsibility it is to fix things.
