5 minute presentation followed by a 8 minute performance by Dumama & Kechou.
They work with the following tools: Vocals; loop station; vocoder; guitar (hand crafted); multiple effect pedals; Uhadi; Chitende; Hand-made percussion instruments; synthesizer. The duo has been playing together since November 2017, and have since then curated standout experiences and interventions in spaces such as: Zeits Mocaa, The Slave Church, District Six Museum, GUS, Drawing Room, Alexander Bar, Cafe Roux, Waiting Room. They have been invited to share their project at the 12th Annual Congress of the South African Society for Research in Music (SASRIM).
