If you want to make a critical contribution to a creative-thinking and collaborative team, then TEDxCapeTown is the volunteer space for you!

We are in the process of planning our next TEDxCapeTown event and we're looking for an organised, supportive and innovative team member to join us as our Events Management Team Lead. 

You will be responsible for the event day logistics creating a “TED-like experience” for our guests. You will also serve as the contact person for the venue, food and beverage team and manage the day-of-event activities outside of the main stage.

You'll be responsible for the following:

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.

  • Handling budgeting and invoicing for the event.

  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors.

  • Handling logistics.

  • Developing event feedback surveys. 

Basic requirements: 

  • Laptop and good internet connection.

  • Previous event management experience.

  • Management and team leadership capability.
