We live in a world of unsung everyday superheroes that are leading the way to saving our planet, but we are rarely exposed to them. We invite you to a showcase of local community Climate Change Champions that are providing an opportunity and avenue for you to get involved in their initiatives, to increase your ecological footprint.
TEDxCapeTown and TEDxJohannesburg will be sharing the virtual stage in this not to be missed #jointhecountdown collaboration, aligned with the global Countdown initiative by TED, to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action.
It might be a big dream, and a tremendous task, but our local champions are already showing us how. Here is our opportunity to learn and engage with them, and get involved.
We challenge you to be the next champion and be the action, because if we change, maybe the climate doesn’t have to.
