Oceans Inspiration - Who Moved My Sushi
Saturday, March 24, 2012 - 08:45 - 17:00
TEDxSeaPoint - Oceans Inspiration - Who Moved My Sushi happens on 24 March 2012.
Please note: TEDxSeaPoint is an independently organised TEDx event. TEDxCapeTown speaker Mike Markovina and partner Linda Schonknecht liked the TEDx platform so much that they decided to do their own event - TEDxSeaPoint. The TEDxCapeTown team is helping and supporting this TEDx event in the spirit of TED and ideas worth spreading, but please remember these are two separate and independent TEDx events, under separate license from TED.
To some degree we realize that across the globe our marine life is in a very dire state, beyond dire for some species. We often hear so much of what is going wrong that it becomes very difficult to see how we could possibly view our marine world in a positive light. But it is not all bad news.
We do have the ability to change and avoid any disastrous collapses in our marine environment. It is a simple change in awareness. Action, no matter how small, does make a difference. But TEDxSeaPoint is not thinking small:
There are inspiring people in this world who show us that there is a glimmer of optimism that our marine resources can be saved through ingenious thought, idea sharing and multi-disciplined lateral thinking. For one day, on the 24th March 2012, TEDxSeaPoint wants to show you that inspired change is happening all around us.
We as humans are the problem, but we are also the solution.
We want you to be a part of this solution with us!
